Bc Wolves are the ultimate champions !!!

Another Final and again - smiles on our faces, and also a third title this year, 3 from 3 !!! We won everything that we could this year! Not bad for a first season?.... So after seven months of hard work everything payed off, a lot of nerves, a lot of fights, a lot of smiles - but we managed to stay together !! And became a good example how basketball team should be managed to become popular !!

The final it self was a real beauty for spectators, full court of fans from two sides .The First half: ''BC Wolves'' 33-24 ''Phoenix'' .The young Phoenix team with an average age in the teens but in very good fitness condition started nervous as ''Bc Wolves'' showed their experience going up 13-1 in first 6 minutes but as the young team settled the match became a shoot out as 7 threes were scored between the teams in the 2nd quarter - Robertas Gurskas made 3 of them in 80 seconds !!

In the second half ''Phoenix'' divided to press, to get back in the game. D.Morris managed to steal the ball on a number of occasions but R Gurskas hit three 3 pointers in a row to blow the game open to 17 point lead in the third. Phoenix continued to press and R.Berzins attacked the basket full court for lay ups. If Phoenix didn't get a lay up D.Lynn used his length and agility to get middle to shoot jumpers or lovely floaters. ''Phoenix'' got the score down to 4 a number of times but Wolves came up with the big shot or rebound every time it was needed, including two major baskets by R.Bartkus. Wolves win 78-72. Most points from ''Wolves'' . Robertas Gurskas 22 points 6 three pointers , Edgaras Lembertas 21 point and 5 three pointers, Sarunas Razmus made 13 points and 1 three pointer.

After the game, The award ceremony started. ''Bc Wolves'' were awarded with league trophy and ''Play off's'' cup . Also Robertas Gurskas was announced an MVP for the finals !!!
