BC Wolves Represent Team NI at the Celtic Invitational 2026

BC Wolves are incredibly proud to celebrate five of our young players and one coach who represented Team Northern Ireland at the Celtic Invitational 2026, held in Belfast and organised by Basketball Northern Ireland.

For a small community club like ours, having six members involved at representative level is an extraordinary achievement. It was a very special occasion for the players, their families, our coaches and everyone connected with BC Wolves.

Ignas Pūděnas – made his Team NI debut

Taking part in an event such as the Celtic Invitational provides young players with an invaluable opportunity to test themselves at a higher level, experience representative basketball and continue developing both on and off the court.

For Ignas, Danny, Peter and Kajus, the tournament also marked the unforgettable moment of making their Team NI debuts. Pijus once again had the honour of wearing the Northern Ireland colours at U17 level, while Coach Rolandas Bartkus led the Team NI U15 Boys as Head Coach.

Each selection represents many hours of training, travelling, competing and learning. These achievements would not be possible without the dedication of the players, the encouragement of their families and the support of all the coaches and teammates who have contributed to their development.

As a club, we are proud not only of their basketball achievements but also of the way they represented BC Wolves and their community. Seeing our members wearing the Team NI colours is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and belief.

We hope their experience will inspire our younger Wolves to keep training, keep dreaming and understand that representative basketball can be within their reach.

A huge congratulations to Ignas, Danny, Pijus, Peter, Kajus and Coach Rolandas. You represented your club and community with pride, and the entire BC Wolves family is incredibly proud of every one of you.
