National League Opposition Awaits BC Wolves in Jordanstown Double-Header

BC Wolves will face two tests of their preparations for the BIDL season when they travel to Ulster University Jordanstown on Saturday 19 September, taking on National League opposition twice in the space of a few hours.

The Mid Ulster club meet Ulster University at 10:00 before returning to the court against Cavan Eagles at 12:30. The hosts then face Cavan at 15:00 to complete a three-game programme at the UUJ Sports Complex.

With Ulster University competing in National League Division 1, Cavan Eagles in National League Division 2 and Wolves preparing for their BIDL campaign, the event brings together three clubs from different levels of Irish basketball. For Wolves, it offers an opportunity to assess their progress against opposition playing above their own competition level.

Opening Game to Test Squad Depth

Wolves will approach the opening fixture without several key players. Richard Berzins, Connor Mason, Adam Czuprak and Ernestas Genevicius will all be unavailable for the 10:00 meeting with Ulster University, placing additional responsibility on the available squad.

Those absences make an already demanding assignment more challenging, but also give other players an opportunity to take on greater roles against Division 1 opposition. Wolves’ ability to share responsibility and maintain their intensity will be tested before a second fixture against Cavan Eagles at 12:30.

The quick turnaround adds another dimension to the day. Alongside the results, the two games should provide a useful measure of squad depth, communication and the team’s ability to make adjustments between opponents.

Three-Game Schedule

10:00 — Ulster University vs BC Wolves

12:30 — BC Wolves vs Cavan Eagles

15:00 — Ulster University vs Cavan Eagles

Venue and Supporter Information

All three fixtures take place at the UUJ Sports Complex, situated at the rear of the Ulster University Jordanstown campus. Access is available via either Shore Road or Jordanstown Road, with BT37 0QB the postcode for the venue.

The university opens at 08:45, and the court will be available for warm-up from 09:00.

Wolves supporters are encouraged to make the journey and get behind the squad for their two fixtures at 10:00 and 12:30, with the final game of the day tipping off at 15:00.
