Table Officials: Upcoming Courses and Refresher Training

BC Wolves is sharing two upcoming online training opportunities announced by Basketball Northern Ireland and Basketball Ireland for new and existing table officials.

Whether you are learning for the first time or refreshing your knowledge ahead of the 2026–27 season, these sessions are an opportunity to develop your skills and support basketball at your club.

Basketball NI: NBN23 InGame Training Webinar

Basketball Northern Ireland has arranged a training webinar for anyone who is new to NBN23 InGame or needs a refresher.

Basketball Ireland: Introductory Table Officials Programme

Basketball Ireland’s online introductory programme will cover the roles, duties and mechanics of table officiating, alongside an introduction to NBN23.

Date: Saturday 26 September 2026

Delivery: Online

Course fee: €25 per person

The programme will be delivered by Mark Patton and Catherine Bannon, both FIBA Table Officials.

09:30–11:30 Scorer’s role, duties and mechanics

11:30–12:00 Break

12:15–13:15 Shot-clock operator’s role, duties and mechanics

13:15–14:00 Timer’s role, duties and mechanics

14:00–15:00 Introduction to NBN23

All sessions will be based on the new FIBA Rules effective for the 2026–27 season.
