Last Tuesday, the Werewolves wheelchair basketball club hit the court at UUJ University for a friendly game against the strong and determined Causeway Giants. Despite some travel issues that left the Werewolves with only five players, we still put up a solid fight!
Representing the Werewolves were Coach Rolandas Bartkus, John McElhatton, Barry McElhatton, Jason Muldoon, and Cathal Mcatamney. Even with the short bench, the team managed to win the second quarter and draw the final quarter against the Giants' mixed Teams A and B.
It was a challenging game, but the Werewolves showed great spirit and determination, making the most of every moment on the court. The Giants proved to be tough opponents, and we appreciate their competitive play.
A big thank you to the Giants, especially their lead, George Wallace, for inviting us and making the game possible. We look forward to more matches in the future!
